Rabbits: Breeding Stock & Meat

Breeding Stock: Occasionally we have breeding stock available in our rabbitry. Currently we only have young commercial bucks available of various lineages, as we are building our herd this year so keeping all our does back. Our commerical breeding stock currently sells for $100/ea.

Rabbit Meat : Organically grown, Fresh. Available by Pre-Order based on seasonal availability of stock. Government inspected & Government butchered.

Prices for whole dressed carcass weights:

2.5-3.5 Lbs: $9.00 per lb

3.6 Lbs and over: $7.00 per lb

The smaller sizes are suitable for a meal for 1-2 people, and the larger sizes are more suited to 3-4 person family dinner or the ability to have leftovers for the next day or the freezer.

Sales Policy:

It is your responsibility to read through and understand our sales policy before making an order with us. By completing an order with us either verbally or in writing, it is presumed you have read and agree to our Sales Policy.

1. We reserve the right to refuse sale to any one, for any reason.

2. We accept cash, Paypal, email money transfer, or money order payments currently. Do not send cash or money orders through the mail, we are not responsible for payments lost in the mail. If you must use the mail, send it registered or via courier and call us to advise you have done so. We will email a confirmation of payment received.

3. Full Payment for orders is due at time of pickup/delivery. All sales are final.

4. For all livestock sales, a 50% non-refundable deposit on total order cost is required on order and pre-order (via paypal or email money transfer), with the balance due in cash upon pickup/delivery. The deposit guarantees your animal is placed on hold and will not be sold until the agreed-on pickup/delivery date. If someone else is also interested in the animal, it will be sold to the first person to hold with funds. If you choose to hold with only a verbal notice and someone else has funds, the animal will be sold. Your deposit money must be received within 7 days of your verbal order in order to keep your animal on hold. We will hold your animal for a 2 week period after receipt of deposit before boarding costs will begin to accrue. If we haven’t heard from you after 2 weeks hold expires or the agreed on pickup/delivery date passes, the animal will be put back up for sale.

5. A deposit is only refundable if, and only if, something happens to your animal in our care before pickup/delivery. We will issue a replacement animal of equal value if we have one available in our sale stock as a 2nd option in that instance only.

6. Deliveries are subject to a $0.20 per/km delivery charge.

7. We do not sell sick animals under any circumstances. If an animal shows any signs of sickness they are not included in our for sale stock at all. We are not responsible for the animal once it has left our care, and will not be responsible for any veterinary or processing/butcher costs incurred. No refunds or incurred cost for any reason will be reimbursed after sale and transfer of ownership is completed.

8. If your animal, placed on hold with a deposit, remains at our farm for an extended period of time before pickup/delivery, a daily boarding charge will apply. $5/day/head for rabbits & poultry $8/day/head for goats or sheep. Boarding fees are due on pickup/delivery of animal but can also be pre-paid before pickup/delivery, and are separate from the purchase price of the animal.

9. Please bring appropriate transport crate and/or restraints/halters/leashes/harness for your animal as we do not keep extra transport equipment on hand. To minimise transport stress, it is recommended to have an enclosed space to house the animal on the trip, be it a tarped dog crate, truck with canopy, stock trailer, or cab of vehicle for smaller animal. We are not responsible for any vehicular damage/stains/tears your animal does if you don’t have proper containment/restraint for it.

10. For pet sales only: Should you no longer want your pet or are unable to take care of it, and it is in good health, you can return it to our farm. Please do not release it into the wild, these are domestic animals and cannot survive in the wild. Shipping cost is at your expense, and there will be no refund of original purchase cost. We will not accept any sick animals back onto our farm to protect our bio-security and existing stock.

11. We make no guarantees for the show success nor the breeding success of any of our animals sold. A proven animal (having previously successfully had a litter, or kid etc) will be advertised as such. All animals are honestly represented to the best of our knowledge and experience.

12. Pedigrees for our rabbits are available on request. Pedigrees may be short or extensive depending on the rabbit’s position in our breeding program and if it was an outside addition to our barn or bred by us.
