Our family re-located to Warburg in the fall of 2008 and have started building what we hope will become a fantastic example of a small-holding (hobby farm) built completely around concepts of Sustainable Agriculture and Permaculture Design. Our plan is to grow fruits and vegetables, small livestock, and improve our methods learning as we go along.

We’ve been into gardening for 3 years now and have picked up a number of insights along the way. We hope to successfully challenge our growing zone of 2A/3 and be able to grow some warmer zone plants as well as some colder zone producing plants. Once we can build a greenhouse, it will be likely we’ll explore aquaponics to help warm and stabilise the air temperature year round inside it. But, first things first, and that is to get our fences and animal shelters in order for this season to keep the goats and poultry in their own pens vs mixing with the farm canines!

We have an eye for detail and are avid history lovers so if you have a story about our farm between it’s beginnings back around the late 60′s/early 70′s until the present time, then come tell us your story as we are tracing the history of the farm for later entry into the books at the local museum.
